Voter Registration

VOTER REGISTRATION

If you are a resident of the Town of Greenwood and desire to vote in the January 17, 2026, municipal elections you must be registered to vote.

If you are not already registered to vote in the State of Delaware, the last day to come in and register to vote at Town Hall is December 19, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE:

A Voter Registration form is available at www.greenwood.delaware.gov to start the registration process.  To finalize your registration, either bring in the completed Voter Registration form or complete the form in person at Town Hall, 100 W. Market Street, Monday through Friday (except holidays) during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please bring proof:

1. of age (date of birth required);
2. of residency for at least thirty (30) days (also provide date you became a resident of the Town of Greenwood);
3. of U.S. citizenship (including date you became a citizen if not born in the U.S.).

If you would like to register to vote and are unable to do so in person, please call Town Hall at (302) 349-4534 and we will work to accommodate you.

REQUEST FOR ABSENTEE BALLOT – Any voter who is qualified under Section 1 of Ordinance C-5-A to vote by absentee ballot and who desires to do so, may request an absentee ballot from the Town Manager by filing a written statement with the Town Manager no later than 12:00 noon local time the day before the Municipal Election. An elector may submit a written or electronic request to the Town of Greenwood for the Town’s prepared statement form, which the Town of Greenwood shall forward to the elector upon receipt of a request, therefore.
